Now that the conference is over, we've updated the site with all the entries and award winners from our assorted events and contests.

Our Photography Department collected over 20,000 images with their cameras and the help of members who signed up as official Photo Rovers. They are culling those photos now and posting them in our new Costume-Con 26 Media Repository.

Prints of the Official Photographers' images may be purchased via the SmugMug online print shop at http://imagecraft.smugmug.com/

The Official Video DVDs of the Costume-Con 26 Stage Competitions are now available for order!

The Costume-Con 26 Future Fashion Folio was mailed out Wednesday, November 21, 2007. It went out at Media Mail rates, which is supposed to be 4-8 days delivery time. Copies sent out of the US were mailed International First Class. Reservations for designs are now open via email, postal mail, and an online form.

The Rules and Submissions Guidelines for the Costume-Con 26 Future Fashion Folio have been modified with regards to the Single Pattern Contest. Visit the Fashion Competitions page for full details. The preliminary program information is now loaded into our online database and you can view it on the Program Listing page here at www.cc26.info!

The listing will be evolving as we continue to work with our program participants, and please excuse any duplicate entries. As we approach the convention weekend, we'll be posting the full schedule as well as our participant's biographies.

Parallel Dimensions in Design (the Sunday morning fashion show) needs volunteers. We still need a Judges Clerk, and several Models. Models will walk the runway showing Art to Wear or Dolls entered by people who are not present, or are participating in other parts of the Fashion show. Interested parties should contact volunteer@cc26.org.

Programming is looking for a few helping hands. Help is needed in the progamming green room and programming operations. No previous experience needed. Interested parties please contact volunteers@cc26.org.

ConOps needs a few good fen to help keep the con running smoothly. We'll be running the office and serving as a communications nexus for the whole dang thing, plus sending rovers out to make sure that there are no little pre-situations waiting to bloom into trouble. We prefer to nip potential problems in the bud; the problem with trouble shooting is that trouble shoots back, after all. At con, you'll be able to identify us by our Operating Room Scrubs. We're looking for folks who prefer working solutions to technical victories, who have good people skills and how think well on their feet. If you think this is you, email Sarah Goodman at mailto:ConOps@cc26.org and tell her why.

Programming is in need of minions to staff our operations room and green room during the run of the convention. No prior experience needed. Interested parties should be willing to interact with people to provide information as needed.

Door staff for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. No prior experience needed.

Registration minions. Help register contestants for entry into the competition. No prior experience needed.

Judges clerk. Assist judges in processing paperwork, and perform gopher duties on the day of judging. Interested volunteer must be available by 8:30 am and willing to stay on until the entire process is over. Clerk should be a good multitasker, be good at keeping track of time, and comfortable with being on their feet for a good portion of the time they are helping out.

Convention chair Kevin Roche and bid chair Andy Trembley sponsored a prize at the GSGRA-BAC 2007 Bay Area Rodeo in the name of Costume-Con 26.

Andy and our friend Howard also shot approximately 10,000 frames of rodeo action, which we will be posting to a website probably by 21 September. We will update this news item with a link to the photo gallery once they have been posted, so our cowboy and cowgirl friends can download their pictures. We also invite Costume-Con 26 members and other visitors to view the gallery once it opens.

Thanks to everyone at the Rodeo who came to chat with us about Costume-Con this year!

I'm pleased to announce that today I signed the hotel contract for Costume-Con 26 with the DoubleTree Hotel San Jose, well-known site of many Bay Area conventions!

Our room rates will be $92 for a standard room, 1-4 people.

Note: Reservations should not be made in our room block before May 1, 2007.
If you call before then they may say they do not have any rooms available at our rate. (The date has been pushed out because 2008 is a leap year, and reservations cannot be made more than 365 days before your check-out date)
